Having competed at the highest levels and reflecting on a 20-year professional rugby career, there are no regrets.

Paul has always set out to do his best with the information available at the time. Information like personal experiences, the potential of human performance, and the components that would make a great player and trainer.

However, on reflection, Paul appreciates how much more of his potential he could have accessed. How I could have maintained a healthy balanced focus on the inevitable occurrences of any professionals career...from long term injury, selection issues to preparing for life after sport or player/coach relationships...a better understanding of the human condition would have been exactly what I needed, so I could painlessly allow these situations to appear and disappear without the attachment, and meaning-making I innocently imposed, which would inevitably cloud judgment and affect performance in all facets of my professional life.

My personal experience as a sportsman who has made the transition into life after sport gives me a full understanding of how to navigate the next steps for my clients, so they can approach their next chapter with clarity, awareness, and courage.

I have been a mental health and human performance coach for 7 years now working with people across many different sports and industries across a broad level of need. Working with footballers playing well who want to be better and score more goals, to Olympians making their transition from sport into the real world.

I am also very proud to be working with the charity Rock2Recovery, whose mission is to save and change the lives of those in our Armed Forces, our veteran community, and their families who are affected by stress.

The concept of 'Knowing then what I know now, is something I take seriously and we are very conscious of within this organization. Leaving no stone unturned, its a privilege, and incredibly exciting as a former professional rugby player and human performance coach to be a part of this team that provides athletes with all the key components, both practically, psychologically, and emotionally so you, the athlete can concentrate purely on 'your ideas' in the next chapter of your lives.
